The Book of Boba Fett is Badd.

First let’s get this out of the way. Why am I watching it if I knew it was bad? Two reasons: 1. I’m a nerd. 2. I’m about to run an action packed space game and I want fodder.

Two if you're reading this and getting annoyed, stop. I don't care that much and you shouldn't tie your identity to a brand like StarWars.

We should never have dug into this character, Boba Fett was a throw away character meant to put our protagonists in danger, never to become one that the audience needed to identify with on their own.

I watched the Mandolorian. The show rehashed oft told stories in light of the SW universe. This was fine because we’re introduced to new characters and places. The show was fine until known characters started creeping in. Ashoka was great, but by the time Luke shows up, is it really about Mando anymore?

Back to Boba; I liked the long flash backs,  but the whole dances with wolves bit is a bit too much. This whole thing is suppose to show us his transformation from a hard boiled bounty hunter to a softie with the goal of making the world a better place. The problem is that I just don’t believe it. That the TR keep him around as test - watching him become “worthy” is just too heavy handed to be believable and sustainable. The show drags this on for three episodes.

The next dumb thing is the twins show up and then leave. There is no real conflict in this show except that our heroes fight faceless enemies at every opportunity.

Then, spoiler alert, Mando shows up.

So I watched the whole thing because of sunk cost fallacies (You know, "But I invested so much time in this, I should finish it.")
