Doubt
Last year's Oscar winner. It was a good movie. But it had too much of the edward albee stink to it. Not a bad thing, but why does everything have to be revealed at the end. The movie was about Doubt, why not leave some in the spectator?
Story aside the acting was great - of course. But what really struck me was the cinematography. It was gorgeous. Every surface was simple from the blacks of the religious to the buildings - all represented in simple shapes. Lighting and contrasts - colors all very well balanced. I'd see that again for the pictures :)
